Trexi Custom - AquaBite

I found some stick on eyes while strolling through an art shop and wanted to do a custom using them. What you see below is totally unlike what I had intended to make but anyway I pretty much like the outcome of this one. I present to you my 3rd Trexi custom - AquaBite.

Same as the previous customs, I used Acrylic paint for base and design. Thin black marker was used for some minor outlines. A pair of stick on eyes were glued on the 'ear' area. Finished with clear spray paint.

Too many Trexies are laying on my beside table. Its time for another custom. I call this one - Stitch.

White Acrylic paint as base. Black Acrylic paint was used for big areas with the help of cut out templates. Black fine maker helped on outlines and thin areas. Finished with clear spray paint.

Fabric Fun Dolls Exhibition 2010

Roomism is having their annual Fabric Fun Dolls Exhibition at Brasheer Graphic Books, Level 4 Bras Basah Complex, Singapore. The Exhibition will start from 1st to 30th December 2010, 11am to 7 pm daily. Soft toy, Silver clay and Papertoy workshop will be conducted during the exhibition.

Toysrevil ( Andy Heng ) at Hospital after Stroke

Andy Heng, AKA Toysrevil, recently suffered from a sudden stroke.

I just visited him at CGH on 22/10/10. He is now able to move his limb and speak roughly (and tell jokes). As his vision is quite unbalanced, he will be required to wear an eye patch which changes side frequently. He is mentally strong and I believe he will recover well. Best wishes to him !

Hey guys! It had been almost half a year since I did my last papercraft. I haven felt the great feeling that I have everytime I complete a design for so long. So now its time for me to introduce you guys my latest creation - PixelBlox.

Lots of people have been telling me to do designs of known charactors but I didnt as I do not want to face any copyright issues. But now, just do it. :P

First up is my first original design that I made to test out this new template. I call it - Prototype

Up next is my first known charactor design - IronMan

Last but not least, its something that I wanted to try. Its IronMan Unmasked.

I had did other charactors such as SpiderMan and Aang from avatar. I'll start uploading them once I have finalise it.

If you think I haven been any papertoy for a long time, you are wrong!

While looking at my display shelf, I started to miss the times when I was designing JustMan. I really do like them alot as they were the closest thing that I designed that look like a collectable vinyl toy. But it takes alot of effort to design and built it. Then an idea stoke me.

Below is a picture of my lastest template - JustMan V2 !

I modified the the areas which takes the most time to design and built (arms and legs). This template takes only half the time that I use to built the original JustMan. Im so happy about that.

I really do hope that I can start designing this template but I still have some other stuff to design. So please be patient with me.

Anyway, hope you like the new template :)

Fab-Fibe Show Photos !!

The long awaited photos from the Fab-Fibe Show is HERE!!

At the entrence, there was a space for visitors to do some drawings or leave a note for the show. They are all pasted on the front wall.

Heres an overview of the exhibition. The fabric toys are mainly displayed at the center whereas the papertoys are displayed at the side.

At one side of the wall, its a long stretch of BoxyBats from various artist around the world.

Here are my customs - Camou Ninja, Badd Girl and Crushed Scene.

And on the other side of the wall, you can see the LoveBear customs.

And heres my custom - Busted Bear.

Works of various artist such as Yebo Maycu, Brian Castleforte and myself were exhibited there too.

Something that I had kept for a couple of months. Its the second design I made for fearfolds (actually this was the first) but I couldnt find time to do a photoshoot for it. I finally found time today and here it is - Terror Trunk.

New - Scarred Sheet / Creature Behind The Wall

First up is something for halloween. I design it for a collaboration with some other guys from NPT. We call this collab ' Fear Folds '. I did 2 designs but I only have time to do the photoshoot for one. Here it is, Scarred sheet.

Papertoy Workshop @ MAAD

I went to MAAD last Sunday which was held at the Red Dot museum. Alot of creative works were exhibited there along with many stalls selling handmade crafts. I was an eye opener for me.

The main reason I head down there was for the papertoy workshop. Heres the first custom I made there. Its a little bat driving a bat shape car.

This toy is way smaller then the normal boxybat.

While I was walking around, one of the stall owner gave a balloon with a poem in it. After deflating the balloon to obtain the poem, I got an idea so I went ahead to make a second custom. It is a bat blowing a balloon.

I love the one with the balloon alot. Haha.

Initially, I wasnt intending to do a blog post about this so I didnt bring along my camera. All these photos are taken by Nana (thanks for the photos), the instructor of the workshop.

Before NS...

I'm gonna serve the country soon (6th Oct). I wont be able to design as much papertoys as before. After NS I'm going to college, which means I will have even lesser time to do papertoys. I'm feeling pretty sad about it.

Anyway, although things arent going according to schedule, I'm still able to finish up what I intended to and more. Below is the final thing that I intend to complete before going in NS.

Here are some things that I did that wasnt in my schedule.

Firstly, I met the artist from Roomism.net as I was helping her in folding some of the boxybats that is going to be used for decorations at the Fab-Fib show.

I always wanted to custom a JellyFace but never had any ideas for it. It was until I recieved a friend request in Myspace from the designer of JellyFace. On that night, a design for JellyFace suddenly popped into my head so I made it immediately on the next morning.

My Surprise 21st B'day Party At MCD

It all started with Hua asking me to go over to his house as he said that his mum haven seen me for quite some time (I met her a week ago). I kind of gotten suspicious brought along a t-shirt just in case my Hai Inn friends were gonna do something (like showering me with ice-cream).

In Hua house, his mum keep dropping hints like 'Hua knows how to lie' and stuff like that. When he head out to eat, and going nearer to the MCD, I saw my dad. I knew whats going on liao...

I was half surprised (Cos I predicted something is going on and having a party at MCD was my idea). Anyway, thanks again to all those who came down.

Cake smashing time.. on my face. The cake taste pretty good (especially the one that was used on my face).

Everyone was asked to step outside to play some games. While preparing, Hui Shan played this ride for children. Thank god the ride did not break.

We were suppose to split into 2 teams to play the balloon stepping game. but I guess everyone's target should be me therefore I volunteered to go solo.

While playing, they even lifted me up to stop me running.

The second game - Make a custume. This is Han Cai making the base of the costume for me.

Army Museum of Singapore

During my visit to the Singapore Army Open House, there was free shuttle bus rid to the Army Museum of Singapore. Its also free entry for all too. But what made me went there was an uncle who was telling everyone about the reasons of why we should go.

1) Free entry (I already knew that)

2) Can take photos of the military vehicle without people around

3) Shooting gallery no queue (Thats what made me went there)

4) Fully aircon (The most powerful reason. The open house was dam warm!!)

So here are the photos I took

The show was pretty nice (Cos 4D mah). One of the effects are smoke from the floor. Unfortunately, I was sitting on top of the vents. It made me look as if I was farting dam badly. People beside me were laughing.

Army Open House 2009

Singapore Army Open House 2009 in Pasir Laba Camp. It was held on 3rd - 7th of September. Here are most of the photos I took there.

Just a couple of hours before closing, there was a show on how our military overcome terrorist. I believe its the best show there. Very good effects.

During the visit, I did took the shuttle bus to the Army Museum of Singapore. I'll post up the photos of them in the next blog entry as I dun wanna mix the photos.

Anyway, like alway, I wont go home empty handed. I reached home with 3 eco bag (2 was given in the museum), several collar pins (these are the entrance gifts) and a few packs of salvation biscuits.

There isnt dinner at home and I was too tired to go out to eat so those salvation biscults become my dinner. Shitted 3 times after that. -.-

Weilian Kelvin Autograph Session in Lot1.

Although I'm not a big fan of him, but due to some reasons, I have to go down to this event and support him.

Heres the flyer printed by the actual fans. They used really good printer and on magazine paper. Must had cost them alot.

This is the banner which was carried around Lot 1 by his fans to advertise this event.

I already had a copy of his CD with his signature (I no need to wait or queue up de. Hehe.) but to show our support, my dad purchased another one for him to sign on stage.

The good is that this signature is in a different colour and it has a special mark on it. The mark is only available in his autograph sessions. But now, I dont know what to do with this CD. Haha.

Do support our local singer 'Wei Lian'. His CD is out in stores now. It includes some songs that are composed by him.

Gundam Fiesta 2009

Gundam Fiesta 2009 is here from 2 sept - 13 sept at Compass point. Heres some photos I took at the event.

I even take part in the caravan where I 'learn' how to built my 'first' gundam. Hey, theres no fees and we can take home the model that we built so why not. Haha.

All around me was kids ages lesser then 15 I guess. Luckily my Sis was there to built one too. Right after my session was the Adult's turn. I'm suppose to be in the adult catagory but they say they let all age in for the first day. Hehe.

I was shocked to see that most people participating are as old as my dad. Well I guess its because we are Singaporeans. Haha.

And once again, it wouldnt be nice to leave an event empty handed(Although I already got 1 free model). Hehe. I bought this Event Limited model. Its made of Recycled plastic.

I wanted the other model but its only out on Friday and the fiesta is pretty far from my home. I guess I have to be contended with it.

Designing Day!

At first, I wanted to focus on doing a custom for BoxyBat as I needed to do a really good one to have a chance to be exhibited. But who knows, I just had the feeling to customise more stuff. So for today, I've finished customising and contructing the BoxyBat, a Hoody and a Lemi. Sadly it's pretty late now so I cant use the laptop in my parents room to transfer the photos. I'll give u the sneak peek tmr.

I guess I'm getting addicted to designer toys again after buying some @ STGCC. I really love designer toys!! I went down to PlayImaginative at bugis to get another mystery bag. Unfortunately, I got 2 repeat design. But at least I got 2 new 3" Trexi,2 1.5" Trexi, a Tofu (which I envy them alot) and a 5" Devil toy. :)

Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Con 2009

Toy con 2009 is finally here in SG. I'm so glad that I went. I didnt expect to see much papertoys there but I did manage to find some. I even saw a ThunderPanda booth. Sadly, I couldnt see the artist in person as he was out for lunch while I was there. I wanted to go see him on the second day but I have work, which is just below the convention. So near yet so far.

I wasnt free on the second day as I was too busy at work (didnt even have much time to eat) but luckily I had time to go on the final day. I was dam glad that I did. I manage to meet Eric, the designer of ThunderPanda. Like what the other guys had said, he is a nice guy. We took pictures together ( see below ) and he even gave me a print out of Lemi ( see below also ).

So here are some photos of the convention.

It wont be nice to leave toy con empty handed right? haha. I bought some past issues of ' Play Times ' at only S$1 each. And also a mystery bag that contains several random trexi toys for only S$18.

The photo above shows everything that comes inside the mystery bag. There was another keychain inside but I gave it to my cousin.

After having my lunch (which is right after I woke up), I have been staring at the purple thinggy that I designed yesterday till I fell asleep again. I just couldnt figure out whats wrong with it. I'm also unsure of what size this toy should be.

Right now, I'm halfway thru my second design for this toy (which I still haven got a name for it). Its alot cuter then the first one but I'm still worried about 1 thing - the printer. The colours then was printed doesnt really match with the one shown on the screen. The colour is the same but the shade and hue is different. I'm pretty stress about that too.

The main reason for writing this post is to complaint about my stupid printer. haha.

Sneak Peek - UnNamed

Heres a new template I designed. It started with the smaller white one. I feel that it looks dam cute. My Sis recommended me to make it bigger. After doing that and designing it, she says that this is one of my best works. But sadly, I still feel something is not quite right with it.

For this toy, I manage to design the template into one piece. Buildint his is alot easier then my other toys. I tried NOT using black outlines for the design. I also used photo shop to colour it thus giving it more gradient.

After The Interview

I was abit shaky during the interview. Maybe its becos this is the first time I've experinced it. The photograher took alot of photos including my woodcrafts and my gundams. I think I might look pretty bad in the pictures as my face was pretty stiff when he asked me to smile. But in the end, it all ends well.

I had placed all my designs on a large table very nicely but I've forgotten to take a photo of them myslef before keeping them away. Wasted...

Anyway, I'm really eager to see my stuff in the papers. Its gonna be on ZBComma, which comes inside Lian He Zao Bao on Wednesdays. The reporter told me that it is only available in certain newpaperstands. Although I think they will be sending me a copy, I hope to purchase more copies of it.

The Day Before The Interview

A few days ago, after reaching home from work, I recieved an email from SPH saying that they wanna interview me regarding my papercraft. I was damn excited about it. I did called the newspaper company to verify the email.

And to prepare for the interview, I have to complete the designs that was being done halfway such as the 'Twitch' custom (it took me alot of effort to complete it) and ZX's Justman (I wanted him to do it all on his own but he just doesnt have the time. I have to edit it myself for now. I'm hoping to upload HIS completed work instead of my edited one). Anyway, I've completed them including a new custom for 'NaniBird'.

Tmr is the day of the interview. I'm freaking excited about it now but I'm having stomachache. Must be the butterflies in my stomache. Hope it all goes well tmr.

No. Im not the one in blue. Im the big headed red shirt thingy. It was part of my temp job for an event in several neighbourhood shopping centres. Its dam warm in that thing. I had to wear that for half an hour while walking around and give out balloons to little kids that are so small that I couldnt see them while in that suit.

In the past, I always try to keep things simple but the result often comes out to be quite complicated. One good example is my JustMan. It may look simple but there many parts to build. And for my Hulmet, I wanted to make a glueless design but in the end, I have to use glue on it.

This time, I forget about the word simple and did alot more daring approach. Now, I understand that I should simlify things only at the ending. This helped me create, I guess one of my best templates ever.

New Toy Design, A More Complicated One

Just suddenly had a new design in my mind so I went ahead to make it. The final template came out to be almost totally different then the original sketch.

In my past designs, I always tries to make things simpler but often turns out to be quite complex. This time, I forget about making it simple and added more daring shapes into it. Im glad I did it.

So here it is.. I call it... Er....

I still got no name for it..

When I turn it around, it looks like an alien with 2 big eyes. It does look cuter that way but... I just like it this way. :P

I'm a big fan of the 3 kingdom story, regardless which version it is. So when I saw the Sangokuden Gundam came out, I know its time to make a hole in my wallet. I also bought a gold marker to paint them so it will look better.

The first is a special one that my sis bought for me from overseas. I myself couldnt find this model in Singapore nor on the web. I wonder how she manage to get it. Although it is pretty rare, I do not really like it.

My days working in that shitty hospital is over!! (Since 1 week ago) Haha! So shiok! Now I have more time to enjoy life. Hahahaha!!

John had been asking me to go clubbing with him since we were still in poly. Last time I was either too busy or was out of cash. Just last wed, I went clubbing with him. Dam, he drank too much and got drunk. I had to sent him home and he almost puked on me. He owe me F***ing big time..

When I was still working in the hospital, while I was on my way home, a new design idea for my JustMan came to me. I had been working on it for the last couple of day and I had completed it a few hours ago. Heres the preview -

Working life sucks / New JustMan

Im currently working in Changi General Hospital from 3-11 pm. With 4 hours of travelling time each day, Im left with less then 4 hours to do my own stuff. The working enviroment is pretty unorganised and Im often left to do severals ppl's work at a time. Its sucks... But luckily, Im quitting soon. Hehe.

Thats the main reason why I haven been updated much stuff on the site and the blog. Its 2 am now and since Im still awake, let me intro some stuff that I did just before I got this job.

It has been almost a month time since I had post up anything in either my site or my blog. I almost forgot that I had a blog. :P

So heres some stuff that occured since I last posted.

Firstly, I made 2 new pokemon models from paperpokes. They are 'Squirtle' and 'Clefairy'.

Secondly, I had recieved an award from 'The amazing little box award' for my custom 'who changed the flower'.

I had also finish designing 2 more JustMan. Im still waiting to get new ink for my printer so that I can make them.

Re-Crushable !

I guess its time to introduce my latest creation : Re-Crushable !

A papertoy/craft is very fragile. We need to constantly protect it from water, wind and several elements that could spoil it. It does give us some stress. I have a thought of making a toy to vent all this stress on.

This is the first time I put something I learn in school into my papertoy designs. I roughly understand where the stress areas of the papertoy when it is being crushed and therefore I redesigned those stress point to somewhere that will not tear or distribute them to other areas. Thats how I came out with this design.

New Creations

I finally found some time to complete some of my unfinished designs so I completed them at one shot.

Firstly, here are 2 of my customs for Pyraminds series 2.

I came out with the second one during my statistic class.

Secondly, this is another toy I created called 'Hulmet' (human+helmet). Since I like to do pixel art, I did the skin of this toy using pixel art.

Last but not least, this is something I designed a few days ago. Was suppose to done for valentine's day but i guess this might break up several couples so I decided to share it after V day.

Stress Free!!

Super busy week(s). Project deadlines and Exams. Its not over yet but the more troublesome ones are over. I can finally catch my breath and blog about some shit. Hehe.

Firstly, I would like to show you all a funny letter I recieved. It started all on one day while I was vending a can of drink. After I inserted the coin, the display did not show the amount of money that I had inserted. I pushed the coin return but I did not get my money back. I called up the company of the vending machine and told them about the situation. They asked for my address and told me they will handle it. A week after, I recieved this letter. (I deleted several parts of the letter such as the name of the company.)

I just find it pretty amusing. They have good customer service but lousy vending machine. They should open a shop and sell these drinks instead.

New Cubee Toy / Blog

A toy not downloaded from CubeeCraft. I got this in DeviantArt. It is one of my favourate cartoon character - Aang from Avatar.

My first proper papertoy I made using the 100GSM paper that I bought last year ( a few weeks ago ). I also used my own method which uses glue to make this toy. It turns out damn well. It is also alot more stifer then all my other toys.

A few week ago, which is after I rendered a cheap Gundam model, I told myself not to buy another cheap Gundam. It seems like I just cant control myself when i see the price tag. This is what I bought yesterday

People say that cheap products are sometimes impossible to build up. For me, I know many ways to solve this problem. The only problems I have with these cheap Figures is that their sticker is not sticky and the colour comes off easily.

*Note to self : Stop buying cheap ones !!

I saw a blog post in NicePaperToy nextwork from ADMSXT calling for other artist to design papertoys using his template. It took me a couple of hours to complete it and I was quite happy with what I got. The design look pretty simple and like it that way. I may use that drawing method to design my future papertoys.

I went to find my fabricator to check out the progress of my project. I was very delighted to see the main structure of my project being assembled already. But I still believe that my nightmare has yet to be over.

Oh, another good news for me. I passed my Aerospace Materials. I did pretty badly even though I did studied very hard for it. The questions were too... I dun even understand them! Im sooooo freaking glad that I do not have to do a retest for it.

It have been quite some time since I had posted something. I was in ZX's house all this week. That evil guy made me play maple again! I dunno how long I need to quit it again.

Both the design of myself and the special christmas paper toy is finalised and Im ready to make them. I wanted to print it in ZX's house but couldnt do so as I was play too much maple.. Haiz..

FINALLY!!! All my test are over and most of my assignments are done. Now I have time to do stuff that I wanted to.

Firstly, I had finished painting 2 of my Gundam figures. One of them is from the new Dynasty series.

Although I had been very busy ( thats y I didnt post any new blog entry lately ) but I still squeeeeezed some time out and COMPLETED the paper toy design of myself.

While I was in Eric's house taking photos for our FYP poster, I saw his Gundam figures. They are sooo cool. His Gundam figures are around $50+ (mine is only around $10). He also did paint the black lines on his models. Damn swee.

So before I went home, I went to buy a Gundam fine marker and try painting black lines on my models. I couldnt finish it all in one day as I still need to revise for my test. But I had finised it already.

I dun see much difference. Maybe Ill try one a white base Gundam next.

BTW, anyone know the name of this model please tell me.

Test Coming ! New Gundam Figures !

I finally settled the important parts of my FYP but there is still lots of small ones to settle. The worst thing is that I have to do them during the test period !! Not forgetting the aeroma assignment that I need to complete too. So much stuff, so little time !!

Since Im pretty busy now, I cant make much new paper toys. But during my product design class today, I had the whole 2 hours to draw 3 drawings and render it with rendering marker. I completed it in the first hour but I wasnt allow to go home till the second hour had passed. In the mean time, I did some rough sketches of my lastest paper toy templete and tried to design 'myself' into it. I did came out with a design but I dont think Ill have time to draw it into the computer.

If you had read my blog prevously, you would have known that I was saving up to buy a special edition Dynasty Gundam figures.

Yesterday, I went to Jurong point with my sis and my mum to get some Levis jeans. I guess this was my first time buying a pair of jeans that cost more then $40. After that, we went to Toy'r'us ( my fav shopping area ) to check out whether the Gundam figures are still on sale or not. When I held the package and *amired* it, I pondered whether to buy it or not. Then my mum suddenly said, you want buy, buy lor. I pay lah. *My whole world turned bright*. In the end, I did buy the Gundam figures. Hehe.

The 2 greenish figures are the new ones I bought. On the left is Guan Yu and on the right is his son, Guan Ping. The little blue figure is a special edition soldier that is not for sale. It came free with the 2 new figures.

I Finally Made One Of My CritCase Character

I had already finished designing the characters for my CritCase but didnt have time ( and ink ) to make them. Luckily, I still have some red ink left so I was able to print out this character and made it.

This character is called ' B1TT '. It is a short form for Rabbit and I changed the 'I' to '1' so that it looks more robotic.

New Papertoy Design - Best One So Far

I came out with this design while doing some rough sketch of my PixelLiar.

As I ALWAYS uses MS paint to do my templates and designs, this one is really a difficult one especially with the slanted lines. I actually used a ruler and measure some lengths on my laptop's screen. Im glad that I came out alright in the end.

I guess this is my best papertoy template I had ever designed and I LOVE it very much. My family are always pretty negative about me making these papercrafts so as usual, they dun like it. I felt very depressed by that. Haiz.. But I still have my wonderful cousin, mx (I use small letters for you hehe), who always supported my blog. U r the best !

I have finally finish designing the last character for CritCase. I decided to make it a limited edition. Hehe.. So grabs yours early before its gone !

Im glad that I have came to ZX's house. We redesigned the site banner and it does looks better now. While he was touching up on the banner, I went to make a banner for my blog. Gladly, both banner are done and they are already up.

The best new thing today is that freewebs had shortern their URL. They changed from the long 'freewebs.com/justusproduct' to 'justusproduct.webs.com'. I LOVE IT !!

First Series For CritCase Out NOW !!

At first, I thought I was gonna use the first CritCase I made as my final template but I do find the design a little odd. Stuff like the numbering on its tail and the digital eyes seems weird ( even my sis says it ugly ).

After some redesigning, I decided to change part of the template for every character I make. And finally, I came out with 2 characters for the first series. Theres still 1 more character missing from the first series. I'll design it as soon as I find time to ( I had already decided that what character to make. *Hint - It purrs ).

As usual, I will start of by drawing the template using pencil and making it. After I am comfatable with my design, I will draw the template using 'MSPaint', print it out and make it to see whether the dimensions needs to be adjusted or not. Lastly, I will edit the template to the proper dimensions and add designs into it.

Heres the final product. I call it - CritCase

It can be opened to store small items such as coins and paperclips. I made a little slide at the lower jaw so that you can drag the items out instead of flipping the whole papertoy over to take out your things.

*This is suppose to be orange in colour but part of the ink ran out while it was printing.

The first one is a scene from another game which I never heard of but I like the scene very much so I made it.

The second one is made from a scene from the game 'Fatal Frame'. It has the main character standing infront with her camera ( her weapon ) and the ghost hiding at the back trying to attack her.

While I was making the second one, my friend introduced to me a scary game called 'Hotel 262'. The game is very interactive which makes it very scary. They use real people to act as the ghost so that their visual effects looks more scarier. It does feel even scarier when you are playing this game while making a spooky papercraft. Its a DarkVader cubee. The Trooper was made quite long ago. I believe that the picture will look better if both of them are in it so I took a photo of them together.

New Site Layout

As you can see, the main site is having some major changes. the reason why we are having these changes is because I felt that the colour and style of the old layout is too dull ( everything is either black or gray ).

In addition, I realised that there are too little pictures and too much words. So what I did was to change some of those 'Click HERE!' for the photos into a smaller version of the photo. To view the photo in original size, just click on the photos itself.

ZX is also trying to come out with a new logo/banner for the site ( glad that he is helping ). So check back often.

Hello.. Paper Toy !

It has been quite some time since I made my last papercraft. The first reason why I couldnt make them is because my dad bought 2 packs of low grade printing paper which I couldnt use for my papercraft. The second reason is because school has started and I have lesser free time now.

But going back to school isnt bad after all. I can use my school printer to print out my paper crafts at 50 cents each piece ( the school's printer uses better ink then my printer so its worth it ). I recently printed out a couple of paper toys and made some of them. Here it is.

I think they are the best paper toys I had seen so far. Its super cute !! Someday, Im gonna design something like that. Someday....

Ginny's bday is coming so we had an early celebration for her.

We went for the high tea buffet in Sakae sushi at parkmall. That was the first time for me to try Sakae sushi. Although japanese food isnt my cup of tea, but I still ate alot as its a buffet ( Eat first. Think later ).

After that, we went to watch 'Coffin'. The movie wasnt as nice as what I heard from some movie reviews and stuff. The story isnt good. The ghost 'surprised' us more then it frightened us. It is those kind of horror movie that doesnt give you a nightmare.

Paper Models are Not my Interest !! Blindess Is Out !!

I was advised by some friends I knew from a papercraft forum to make paper models a couple of months ago. Recently (which is last night), I realised that making paper models isnt my real interest (after making so many of them). So why did I make all these paper crafts ??

The reason is because I love collectable toys. Collectable toys are very VERY expensive expecially in singapore. It is not that I couldnt afford them. Its just that I dont like spending money. Lucky for me, I pondered onto Jun's blog which features lots of papermodels and I saw these paper toys called 'Cubee'. I love them !! From there, I start to love paper toys. Although paper models looks way better then paper toys, I still prefer things that are collectable. ( I can design my own paper toys better then paper models )

So now, I have found my true passion and I shall stick to it ! ( I have yet to make a paper model I printed out 1 week ago. Should I complete it ? )

I went to watch it last Sunday after the concert that SW performed in. At first, I thought that this movie might be good as the idea of a blind virus is very fresh. Sadly, it did not hav a good story. It also has a hell lot of dirty parts... too much!

I was suppose to meet Joanne and Fabian today at Vivo but when we reach there, Fabian said he couldnt come. After shopping around with Eric and his friend for quite some time, Joanne called and say she couldnt come too... ARHHH !!!! Sad... I was hoping to see them again after so long ...
But the trip wasnt totally wasted. I helped Eric to pick a present for Ginny. Hehe. I also got a chance to see another 'Mighty Mugg'. It is pretty rare in SG. The only place I know that sells it is at china town but I have never been there. I have only seen 2 of them in SG and I really mean 2. The 2 shops are only displaying only 1 Mighty Mugg each and I dont think they are selling it. ( I hope someone can get one for me. Hehe. )

Night Safari Halloween Event

One of my friend is working in the night safari and therefore she got us very cheap tickets. We went there while the halloween event was on. The workers in the night safari were all well dressed and some were pretty scary. They were all over the trails.

We took the special halloween tram ride that has an additional 'Chamber of Torture' ride.

Later that night, we went to the organiser's house or a sleepover. She had an adorable puppy which we played with for quite some time. We were all pretty tired to play any games. All we did was chit chatting and most of us fell asleep.

Imagine yourself waking up with a dog right in front of your face ! I told that to my friends before we fell asleep. We all wonldnt dare to imagine it. But sadly for me, it happened.

As there was quite a number of us in her house, some of us slept on the floor which includes me. When I woke up, the first thing I saw was 2 big eyes staring at me. The dog was standing right infront of my face. I was shocked. I guess it was my 'big mouth' that made it happened.

First weekend after school starts

On Friday, I went for my FTT test and I PASSED !! Hehe.

I went to ZX's house after that and stayed till Sunday. While I was there, we spent alot of time thinking of what to do. There seems to be alot of stuff to play with but nothing interest me. In the end is his Wii that caught my attention.

At first, we wanted to make a video walkthrough of 'Umbrella Chronicles' but the video cam uses SD card and we do not have any card reader to save the video into our computer. So we dropped that idea. I suddenly remembered that he have Wii sports and his mum loves to play the bowling game. So we play Wii sports for the whole of saturday. I can say that Wii sports IS a form of exercise. I was sweating like hell while playing it.

On Sunday, we all went to my grandpa house. As usual, I will bring ZX and my 2 other younger cousins to the nearby shopping centre to walk around and buy some toys and snacks. ZX and my other younger cousin, ZJ, doesnt want to bring ZJ's younger sister, HY, along but I asked her mum for her and she allowed her to follow us. Unlucky for me, she seems to be crazy on that day. She was complaining and nagging non stop for the whole trip and acts like she is the boss.

Before we went to the shopping centre, I asked my older cousin whether she wanted to join us or not. She said she doesnt want to take the responsibility so she did not join us. She was so lucky.

Before we all went home, we were talking about how troublesome HY was. That damn girl said that it was MY FAULT that I allowed her to follow us. WTF !! She is such a bitch.

Stress during first week of school ! Free FTT questions!

I have a test tmr !!! Not a school test though. Its my final theory driving test. Alot of things to memorise. I HATE MEMORISING !!! Sadly, I got no choice. Luckily, I found a site thats has many questions that are similar to the real FTT test. I keep practicing there till I got full marks for at least 20 times. They keep giving random questions but some does repeat as the number of questions they have are limited ( around 200+ ). I also need to give the quotations for my FYP to my supervisor tmr. I am very afraid that theres something that he doesnt like about it. Hope that there will be no problem when I meet him.

Its already 1 am here. I was too busy studying for my FTT that I forgot to ask my friend whether there will be class at 8am tmr not. Alot of my classmates or wondering about that too. If there is, I will have a hard time concentrating in class. Got to get some 'Red bull' tmr morning ...

Back to waking up early to go to school. This sem, I have to reach school at 8 for every day but it ends early except for thursday.
Its only the second day of school and I already skipped 1 class. It was becos I went out with my friends to play Battlefield. It had been quite a long time since we played that togther. After that we went to Mac for lunch ( although I already ate ) and played pool. We went to eat 'dou jiang you tiao' before we left.

Back from Redang

I went to Redang with some of my attachment friends on thursday. The organiser invited some of her classmates too. I was surprised when I realised that my neighbour is her classmate and we are all going together.

Redang is pretty fun. We went for swmming at the beach and in the pool, snorkeling at the beat and deep sea, beach soccer and volleyball, kayaking, banana boat and danced at their disco. I love dancing.

Due to the fact that I applied too little sunblock, I got sunburn. It does hurt alot and I'm quite dark now. Hope that my skin doesnt peel..

As I always say, 'Memories are meant to keep in your head and not on paper'. Thats why I didnt took any photographs. If you would like to see how nice redang is, get some photos from other people. Or even better, go yourself.

New iPod

I went to Sim Lim Square to buy an iPod Nano so I can use it to design the paper craft version of it.

Nah.. This is the one I designed last time. It was really torturous making it. Some areas are super small plus the paper I used this time is thinner then those I used before. ( My dad went to buy 2 packs of cheap paper therefore I will be stuck with it for quite some time. )

I recommand you not to do the detailed one as the results would not be good. But I will still put it up for those challengers out there. I edited the simplier one. Now it has bigger glue folds.

Click ' Try the full version ' .

You will be given 3 options. Choose anyone you like.

Hotmail Error ! I have a temp solution !

I cant open my mails !! They are so freaking important especially in this period of time. I went to search for solutions and found out that alot of other users have the same problem with me. When you open you try to open your email and only a 'JavaScript' word appears below, welcome to my life. This is due to the new 'thing' that they come out with on 30th Sep.

Here are 2 temp solutions.

1) Check your emails using mobile.live.com. The bad thing is that you cannot download attachments with this. You also cant see mails that have complicated html in it. ( Thanks to Sze Loong )

2) Download Live Mail and check your mails with it. You can download attachments with this. This can be a way for you to check your mails permenantly as it has all the proper funtions.

Finally solved the problems on the quotations. But thats not the end to my nightmare. Unless the whole project is completed, I will not be able to rest in peace.

I fell asleep at 7pm straight after I layed on my bed. My mon woke me up at 11pm and I cant sleep again. So what can I do at night..... do another paper toy design of course.

Im done with my last 'NOT' series toy. Its called 'Scary'.

I had edited the box for the PixelLiars. Now it has the name of the toy on the box. I smoothen some of the corners and also changed the hanger to a hole as it looks neater this way.

I still hate FYP

I was listening to 'Skater boy' and saw this Sims 2 version of it. I like it alot and therefore, I tried doing my own maple version.

Hate the FYP

I have to prepare for a selection on next Tuesday and my FYP isnt ready yet. I had to conference with my group mates just now at midnight. If it wasnt for that, I would had slept early today. ( I fell asleep around 9 and forced myself to wake up at 10+. Very painful. )

Now, I cant sleep. ( Time : 4.40 am )

My mum came to look at my Cabal prizes again and she was trying to peal out the sticker. We realised that the sticker is so old that the letters ahd dropped off. What the hell!!!

I saw some packaging for toy and had this idea of making a box for my PixelLiar so I designed and made it.

Long Day

It has been a few days since my last post. Here is what I was doing for the past few days.

On 25/9/08, I started making a paper Wall-E but stopped halfway as MX wanted me to go her house make cookies. I LOVE COOKIES !! But we didnt make it on that day as she fell asleep.

On 26/9/08, I finally got a chance to learn how to make cookies and made some. The end product isnt as good as what I expected. But its still ok.

Then she finally teach me and ZX how to use Flash. And so I started making my first flash ad for my Maplecubes. Although I believe that the ad I made wont attract any one. Later on, I tried to make a short Maple story animation called 'Bring spare underwear'. It is way better then the Maplecube ad.

On 27/9/08, I tried making a even better Maple story animation using more effects and stuff. And a longer story this time. I was happy with the end result. Its called 'Extreme makeover'. Check it out!

On 28/9/08, I went home and completed my Wall-E.

And immediately went out with my friends. Afterwhich I went to collect my prize for the Cabal best dance formation contest. The quality of the prize is very bad. Since I am already at Suntec, I went to watch the F1 race. It is SUPER LOUD !

When I reached home it was already pretty late but I still wanted to take a video of my Cabal prizes to show people how bad they are and upload my other videos to the web. Sadly, the freewebs site is down therefore I wasnt able to update the site.

Today, I finally can update them and post up this blog entry.
